Piotr Józef Schumann
I design systems where a bug costs money — on-chain settlement, equity ledgers and investor platforms, built to be verified rather than trusted.

Dynamic equity split on a blockchain
- Problem
- Early-stage founders fix an equity split before anyone knows who will contribute what, and the split goes stale within months.
- Approach
- Turned a published dynamic-equity model into software: every contribution of time, cash or assets is weighted and written to an append-only on-chain ledger, so each founder's share is recomputed from a record nobody can quietly edit.
- Outcome
- Shipped as the startup's product. The startup was later acquired and incorporated into a larger company.

Energy clusters · EU
On-chain settlement for local energy markets
- Problem
- Energy clusters have to settle energy between local producers and consumers transparently, without every member trusting one operator's spreadsheet.
- Approach
- Tokenised the physical layer: a power contract per installation, denominated in kW, and an energy unit issued from metered production at 1 unit = 1 kWh, so every settlement traces back to real output.
- Outcome
- Contracts were independently audited and are live on BNB Smart Chain, and the settlement model underpins cluster engagements across Poland.

Investor platform · EU
Institutional investor portal with a verifiable audit trail
- Problem
- Institutional investors needed KYC-gated access to due-diligence documents and their token balances, behind a security bar a fund's compliance team would sign off.
- Approach
- Passkeys plus TOTP, wallets bound to accounts with Sign-In with Ethereum, a per-user SHA-256 hash-chained audit log, per-request CSP nonces, and documents stored under S3 Object Lock in compliance mode.
- Outcome
- Every sensitive action leaves a tamper-evident trail, and due-diligence documents cannot be altered or deleted within the 7-year retention window.

Energy finance · PL
Multi-tenant credit scoring for energy clusters
- Problem
- Clusters admitting new members need to know who can pay — with GDPR consent and KYC/AML checks that hold up in an audit.
- Approach
- A multi-tenant Go API that pulls bank data plus credit, debt and business registries, records consent per purpose, and returns a score together with its sources.
- Outcome
- Built end to end: the API, an admin panel, an onboarding form, and React and WordPress SDKs for cluster sites.

About
I'm a software architect based in Poland. I design and build systems where correctness is not optional: cryptographic key management, blockchain settlement and the platforms around them.
Most of that work is under NDA, so the case studies here are anonymised — the constraints, primitives and numbers are real; the names are not. I'm also the founder of Deep DevOps.
